Big Bear is inviting you to the best picnic in town!

Bring your favourite Teddy friend down to Teddy Bear’s Forest and join in the fun.

Little Bear is a bit worried about making new friends. You can help him on his journey as he learns when to be wary, when to be scary and when to be bear-y!

With singalong songs, join in dances and funny stories; this enchanting, interactive and musical adventure will leave preschoolers singing with glee and laughing until they are tired little Teddy Bears!

Don’t forget to bring your favourite Teddy!

About the company

Jally Entertainment were established in 2004, are proudly based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Their works include children's and adult's productions which have been toured regionally, remotely and nationally.
The performance history is extensive with national touring productions such as ‘Menopause the Musical’, ‘Calendar Girls’, ‘Ladies Night’, and 'Gallipoli - Trench Warfare'
Performance venues include, QPAC, Crown Perth, Crown Melbourne, The Star - Gold Coast, along with hundreds of smaller venues across Australia. Jally Entertainment also enjoy a regular season at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
Touring throughout Australian schools and venues regularly, the children's productions continue to engage and educate our children on everyday issues.
The key messages are incorporated cleverly into the scripts, via an interactive style performance that is both engaging and entertaining.

Technical Considerations

Bump in – 2 hours before doors, if there is direct access to stage, with lights and sound in place.
The Producer supplies Sennheiser Wireless Microphone Headsets.
The Producer carries their own sound equipment catering to halls and smaller performance spaces without AV facilities
*allow 3 hours for bump in*
Sound is operated via QLAB Mac system patched into venue's house system.
The Producer will use the venue's sound and lighting consoles, operated by the Producers technicians. (Sound and lighting op. together)
The Producer will provide pre-show and post-show music.
Bump out - 1 hour.

The Teddy Bears Picnic offers a delightful experience for preschoolers, featuring vibrant characters and engaging tunes that encourage dancing and play. This joyful atmosphere not only captivates the child’s imagination but also fosters positive memories, making it the perfect event for young ones to enjoy and explore their creativity.

Engagement

We plan to offer engaging activities such as interactive storytelling workshops, art and craft sessions using recycled materials to create Teddy Bears, and musical workshops for children to learn simple songs and rhythms.

These initiatives promote community involvement by encouraging family participation and fostering collaboration, which builds a sense of ownership and connection to the event.

The cultural legacy of the tour would emerge through sustained partnerships with local kindergartens, schools, and community centers, aiming to establish regular programs to celebrate creativity and local culture.

This would contribute to a richer, more interconnected community appreciating the arts for childhood development.

Additionally, documenting the children’s activities and artworks could lead to a community showcase or exhibition, preserving the joyful memories and experiences generated for friends and families to enjoy and reflect upon.
