What is QTouring?
QTouring is here to boost the arts touring scene across Queensland, Australia. We help regional and remote communities experience high-quality cultural events. Our mission is all about providing resources, coordination, and support to artists, producers, and venues, making touring more sustainable and inclusive.
How was QTouring founded?
QTouring was developed by Arts Queensland and Stage Queensland to create a more organised and sustainable arts touring system across the state. We listened closely to feedback from the arts community to ensure we meet the needs of artists, producers, and communities.
What are QTouring’s main goals?
Our work centres on four pillars:
First Nations First: Supporting First Nations arts through tours by and for First Nations artists.
Sustainable Touring Models: Creating resources for eco-friendly, sustainable touring.
Capacity Building: Offering training and professional development for artists, producers, and presenters.
Expanding Partnerships and Markets: Building partnerships to grow touring opportunities across Queensland.
Does QTouring build or fund tours?
No, we don’t directly build or fund tours. Instead, we provide support like resources, training, and networking. Our goal is to empower artists, producers, and venues to create and manage their own tours with the right tools, guidance, and connections.
Who can access QTouring’s services?
QTouring supports a wide variety of stakeholders, including independent artists, emerging talent, established producers, venues, and communities across Queensland. We tailor our services based on your experience and needs—from intensive training for newcomers to ongoing networking for seasoned producers.
I'm a Presenter, how do I get my information on the QTouring site?
We have a Presenter Portal coming in the next stage of our website roll out, where you will be able to control your venues and update their information as you please.

How does QTouring support sustainability in touring?
QTouring is dedicated to creating and supporting sustainable touring models. We provide resources, training, and guidance on how to plan and manage tours with sustainability in mind. We also pilot new touring circuits and develop community engagement strategies to ensure long-term viability for artists and arts organisations.
Can QTouring help me plan a tour?
While we don’t directly organise or fund tours, we can help you develop your tour through brokerage services. We support artists and producers by providing the tools, resources, and connections you need to create successful tours across Queensland.
How can I get involved with QTouring?
There are plenty of ways to get involved! Attend or apply to present at our annual QShowcase and arts market. You can also submit your work, venue, or community for listing on our website. We also host regular Gather Rounds—online and in-person meetups where you can pitch ideas, share resources, and explore opportunities with other artists and producers.
How does QTouring create partnerships?
We actively build partnerships with government bodies, arts organisations, and community groups to open new touring possibilities and grow the arts in Queensland.
What is QTouring’s approach to inclusivity?
