Identity is a bold, immersive theatre experience that blurs the line between performer and spectator.

Through multilingual storytelling in Chinese, Spanish, and English, poetic movement, and physical theatre, it delves into the complexities of identity, belonging, and perception.
Audiences are guided to move through the space, standing face to face with performers as personal histories collide and social labels are challenged.

D.I.V.E. Theatre Collective offers a range of engagement activities alongside Identity, allowing communities to connect with the production beyond the performance. These activities explore the play’s themes and creative methodologies while being adaptable to local needs.

Post-Show Q&As - provide audiences with the chance to discuss Identity with the performers and director, either informally or through structured discussions at the venue.Performance Workshops - introduce participants to the techniques used in the production, including Physical Theatre, Devising, Contemporary Performance, and Theatre of the Oppressed. These can be tailored for schools or the wider community.Movement & Creative Writing Workshop - guides participants through D.I.V.E.’s unique devising and writing process, blending movement, role play, and text composition to create expressive and poetic stage work.For secondary students, Identity offers rich material for Drama, Theatre Studies, and English, covering physical and contemporary theatre, fragmentation, non-linear forms, and site-specific performance. Teacher resources are available.Community engagement is central to Identity, encouraging discussions on identity, belonging, human connection and social constraints.
