About the work

Fairytales tip higgledy-piggledy! Two children whisked away to fairyland, choose new pages, rewrite tales and find happily-ever-afters.

Fairy tales are fractured! Classic stories have tipped higgledy-piggledy and favourite characters are all in a muddle. Two children whisked away to fairyland, find a bold Little Red, grumpy gran, music loving pigs, a lonely giant, and love-struck prince and princess. They must piece the fairy tales back together before midnight.

Along the way, our heroes learn who to trust, when to help, kindness and to look beyond first impressions. Every choice turns a new page – can they rewrite the tales and find happily-ever-afters?

The students from Mungindi Central School really enjoyed the experience of attending a live performance, for the majority, it was 'their first time'! Thank you for bringing the performance to remote communities, it was such a memorable experience as a teacher to watch the student's faces light up from enjoyment.

We have now seen two performances (Charlotte's Web and Wind and the Willows). We love the remakes of children's classics. As a family, we've read the book together before going to see the show. We would definitely come to any future shows in Rocky/Yeppoon. Keep up the great work!

Amazing experience for our students. Exceptionally talented performers that engaged the students during their online workshop with Courtney and Jacob. Thank you.

I have no doubt that, like “Bluey”, this RAVA show will stimulate kids into making up their own plays and games and characters at home. Just give them blocks, a broomstick and some coats and hats!
Well done RAVA, beautifully directed, wonderfully acted and so full of energy and charm.
